I know I know, another guacamole recipe. You’ll begin to see my obsession with guacamole/avocados and spicy foods. This recipe calls for the standard guac ingredients plus an added kick of jalapenos!
Mexican food is one of my favourites and you can actually make it super healthy with the right ingredients. Once I start eating guacamole I literally cannot stop. If you are like me, best thing to do is pair this guac recipe with some healthy chips or veg and you won’t feel as guilty if you eat the entire bowl (guilty).
Healthy chips (gluten free which I like best) can be found here and here.
What you need:
2 ripe avocados
Handful of red onion
1/2 jalapeno, sliced into tiny pieces
1 lime
1/2 lemon
Handful of cilantro
1 garlic clove minced
Sea salt and black pepper
What to do:
Cut the avocados in half, take out the seeds and add to a bowl
Mash the avocados with a fork, making sure to keep it a small bit chunky
Add in the onion, cilantro, garlic and jalapenos
Squeeze the lime juice and lemon juice over top and mix well
Sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper
Serve over salad, with tortilla chips or veg
